Mission statement

KINDNESS COUNTS is an initiative to promote self-love and self-worth among young people.

In a society plagued, by comparison, judgment, and hate it is essential for young people to understand and believe that they are loved, appreciated, and have so much to offer regardless of what is taking place in their lives.

KINDNESS COUNTS aims to increase our communities' unity by spreading civility, kindness, and love. Happiness begins with each of us and we can spread happiness, love, and joy through how we interact with our peers.

The pillars of  KINDNESS COUNTS are LEARN, LOVE, and OVERCOME

  • WE LEARN by looking outward. As we put aside our pride and stop thinking about ourselves, we allow ourselves to get to know people for who they are.

  • WE LOVE despite differences we may have. As we do, it helps us to see someone for who they truly are.

  • WE OVERCOME the negative narratives of the world. The world tries to tear us apart, divide us, and turn us against each other. As we look beyond false narratives of darkness, divisiveness, and hate it opens our eyes to the beauty within every individual.
